How does it work?
The human body uses micro electric currents to send messages and respond to stimulation. Not only are these electrical signals in the torso of a patient, but they are throughout the body. These currents can be detected and analyzed ECG, EEG, EOG and EMG, for example. These devices use electrical probes at points on the body to pick up micro electrical signals from the tissues. These signals are then evaluated against a normal pattern. The doctor interprets any unusual signals and an analysis of the patient is made.
